Recently the Obama administration gave mid-sized companies an extra year to provide their 50-99 employees with affordable healthcare. Large companies also have until 2016 to provide 95% of their employees with healthcare, while small businesses of fewer than 50 employees are not obligated to provide heath benefits. Republicans jumped in on the announcement, saying that "[the Obama administration] is just making it up as they go along."
I think that the Obama administration made a decision that would benefit the people rather than hurting businesses, as giving employers more time to adjust to new regulations will help smooth out any other bumps in the program.
This program is an excellent example of the idea of Responsiveness- politicians listening to the people's wants and need and enacting legislature in corresponding ways. Obama saw the need for low-income Americans to have affordable health coverage, and he addressed that need in the best way he could.
